Xin Niu, Ph.D., is a Programmer Analyst at Dr. Fried’s lab, where he is responsible for building the analysis pipeline for electrophysiology recordings. He is also enthusiastic about utilizing cutting-edge machine-learning technology to uncover the mechanism of learning and memory. He holds an MS degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from Beijing Normal University and a Ph.D. degree in Brain Science from Drexel University. His previous research involves using machine learning to investigate altered brain development in psychiatric disorders. Before joining Dr. Fried’s lab, he worked as a Data Scientist developing machine-learning models on wearable data.
